Waarom niet? Dat staat zo standaard ingesteld bij Apache ... de meest gebruikte webserver ter wereld. Niets aan de hand dus. Kennelijk is er nog geen hoofdpagina (index.html / index.php) gemaakt.

Forum.freethinker.nl is een subdomein van freethinker.nl en bevind zich in een aparte folder. Tenzij een subdomein gelinkt wordt naar een andere pagina behoeft het zijn eigen index pagina (tenzij de server specifiek is ingesteld voor het zoeken naar default.html of anders, maar dit komt zelden voor).

Klopt, ik heb voor forum.freethinker.nl niet specifiek iets ingesteld en aangezien er in de internet DNS een wildcard record staat voor *.freethinker.nl die verwijst naar de webserver van de hosting partij krijg je daar de standaard Apache welkomst pagina te zien. Niets aan het handje dus, je krijgt hetzelfde als je naar http://pietjepuk.freethinker.nl gaat, of naar ikbestaniet.freethinker.nl
Desalniettemin zal ik bij gelegenheid even kijken of ik een forwarder kan instellen voor forum.freethinker.nl
