Q. Is it true that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had a ‘consultation’ with the 12th Imam of Shiism before he made his announcement in April 2006 that Iran had joined the ranks of nations capable of mass producing uranium for nuclear energy? Did the Iranian President actually meet with Maitreya? If so, what was Maitreya’s advice to President Ahmadinejad?
A. No. But during his talk at the United Nations in New York on 14 September 2005 he was seen by members of his group to be ‘enveloped in light’. My information is that this was a blessing from Maitreya.

Q. Given that global warming will not stop immediately even if the 200-year supply of oil-bearing sands in Canada (figure from BBC News) and even larger supplies of coal are never burned, should we anticipate a meltdown of polar ice over the next several centuries that will make many coastal areas uninhabitable?
A. Steps will be taken to lessen that risk.

Q. Can you explain why, if global warming is a major problem, Maitreya has "brought the Earth a little closer to the Sun"? Doesn't that exacerbate the warming, and if so can we assume that whatever climate changes do occur will not in the end prove more deleterious than if Maitreya had not performed this rather bizarre-seeming action?
A. Twenty per cent of global warming is caused by the Earth having been brought a little nearer to the sun. Eighty per cent is caused by our misuse of resources and gas emissions. Why would Maitreya do this? One has to assume that it is under Law and for the benefit of humanity. It will render large areas of northern Europe, Asia, Canada and Russia, now largely icebound for most months of the year, extraordinarily fertile for growing food. It also reinforces the need for action on our part to limit global warming.

Q. (1) Can you say if there is any truth to the claim, based on recent research and geological evidence, that a great cataclysm in around 9500 BC brought an end to what was a virtual Garden of Eden and left a deep scar in our racial memory? (2) Is it pos sible that whatever did occur and was apparently recorded in world mythology including the tale of the Noachian flood could have been caused by a fragment, called Phaeton in ancient myths, of a supernova explosion that passed through the solar system?
A. (1) That is not my understanding. (2) My information is that the Noachian flood occurred about 16,000 years ago, the result of the Earth movement which caused the Island of Poseidonis (the Azores are a remnant) to disappear under the ocean.

Q. What would be a ‘reasonable’ amount of savings one should keep for oneself before considering giving the rest to worthy causes?
A. There is no set ‘reasonable’ amount. There are very many levels of savings. It is up to each individual to give or not, much or little.

Q. There is much written about Mary Magdalene these days, with Dan Brown’s bestseller The Da Vinci Code, and the resurgence of Margaret Starbird’s work on Mary Magdalene’s and Jesus’ relationship. (1) Can you say if their relationship was indeed a model for the healthy and balanced masculine and feminine modes of consciousness, and (2) that we are moving toward restoring such balance as we move into the Golden Age after Maitreya comes forth and inspires us to change the failing structures of the various patriarchies?
A. (1) That so-called relationship is built on fantasy and sentimentality. The true relationship between these two historical figures was that of Master and disciple: Maitreya (through Jesus) and the disciple Mary. (2) Yes.

Q. I trust in the midst of all your busy schedule you will be able to look at my letter and give me some hope. Tell me please, what is the state of Nicaragua? (1) Does anyone else know about Maitreya besides me? I am actually doing nothing and have no idea how to start doing something. I have talked to two people and I bet at this time they do not even remember what I said. Forgive my judgment but they were not interested in my story and I was too shy and superficial when talking. This country seems to have no break from political, administrative and religious corruption; tragedies of all kind, conflicts etc. What is our position or place within the Plan of Salvation? (2) Does Maitreya visit us sometimes? I know He has appeared before some people in the past but what have been the implications or results from those apparitions? Is this country near to some redemption?
A. (1) Yes, seek them out and work with them. (2) Yes. Take heart, things are about to change all over the world, including in Nicaragua, but they will not happen by themselves. As Maitreya says: “Man must act and implement his will.”
